AIA Las Vegas Homeless Solution Day

We participated at the AIA Las Vegas Homeless Solution Day on August 23rd at the World Market Center. More than 50 people including architects, community partners, development firms, and representatives from the City of Las Vegas and State of Nevada. There were three groups: mixed-use multifamily, workforce housing, and micro housing. Veterans Village #4 was one of the case studies in micro housing group. Minjia Yan from Millennium was a team member in this group and contributed her thoughts in this case study. Veterans Village currently has a master lease with the landlord on this property. It has an existing 60, one-bedroom units. Our plan is to build another 60 new units on the site and apply for a large parking variance. We will present our drawings to the Mayor of Las Vegas and City Council members in October. Stay turned!
